The awards ceremony for the 2005 Governor's Award for Historic Preservation was held at the newly renovated Stanford Mansion in downtown Sacramento on November 10, 2005 . On behalf of the PCAS Quarterly Committee and Editors Chris and Beth Padon the award was accepted by Jeff Rosenthal, Quarterly contributor and peer reviewer, and PCAS member Dr. Nancy Sikes. The awards were presented by Wayne Donaldson, State Historic Preservation Officer, and Ruth Colman, Director of State Parks. The PCAS Quarterly , published since 1961, was lauded as a model for bringing scientific archaeological information to a broad public audience. Jeff Rosenthal, in his short acceptance comments, acknowledged the hard work of each member of the Quarterly Committee.
